These characters are set in the wonderful world of Usagi Yojimbo. If you don't know it, run, don't walk, to the nearest comic store and start buying all the issues you can find of this amazingly good comic. It is easily one of the three best comics published today - and I like comics.You will need the Usagi Yojimbo Role Playing Game in order to make sense of these notes. I give no explanation of what Courage of the Bear, for example, or Special Tactics mean. These, and other unfamiliar terms, can be found in the published book, which I recommend to you. Please do not ask me to tell you what these things mean in game terms - I respect Gold Rush Games' intellectual property too much to do that. You can read my authorized translation of Fuzion to Fudge to help you understand how to run the game in Fudge.
I have included more skills than are listed in the book, but that shouldn't be a problem. I have also included one more attribute, however: Focus. I envision this as the ability to center oneself, or tap into ki, or however you want to define that very important aspect of Japanese culture - especially martial arts. Feel free to ignore it if you can't figure out how to use it ... The attribute Combat has been changed to Agility, as detailed in my translation page (link in previous paragraph). Otherwise, attributes are pretty much as listed in the Usagi Yojimbo Roleplaying Game from Gold Rush Games.
I have not yet finished the character stories - I may not get to them for a while, and if you want to contribute, please do, and e-mail me some character stories! I may also tweak skills, Gifts, and Faults for some of them - they feel a little unfinished to me, but I wanted to get them out there before I ran out steam on the project. This paragraph will disappear when the characters are finished.
