Borjomi

Borjomi is a slow mountain town with a nice river and hills all
around it. Right next to the town is a large national park where
we hope to do some hiking later. It is a lot cooler here especially
in the evening. We went to the spring in the main park where Borjomi
mineral water bubbles up. Fresh out of the spring it was almost
hot and it's much more sulfurous than bottled Borjomi. We might
have to use the fresh spring water for its topical health properties
and continue drinking the bottled variety. The town is similar to
towns in the Adirondacks or northern New Hampshire. People mostly
come to this area to ski so this time of year it's quiet and slow.
We had some good food already, some mixed vegetable appetizers,
eggplant and walnut rolls, and another variety of khachapuri that
looks like a pizza (we had the bread boat variety the other day).
