Two Americans in Paris

We tried (and failed) to stay awake all day Saturday to get
adjusted to the time zone.

We went on a walk after dinner and tumbled across the rugby World
Cup! We had no idea it was going on, except all the green jerseys
and kilts we saw earlier in the day made sense. It was England vs
Samoa when we walked by to be followed by Ireland vs Scotland.
Lots of people were gathered outside the stadium to watch the match
on the big screen. A man playing bagpipes showed up right as we
were leaving.

Today we walked through a large fancy garden next to the Louvre
museum. We went to a restaurant that served food from Bretagne in
northwest France. We had galettes, which are crepes made with
buckwheat. Apples and butter are popular in that region so I had
sparkling apple juice and everything had lots of butter and apple
cider vinegar.

In the evening we went to a park that has a nice view of the Eiffel
Tower and the sunset and got pho for dinner.
