• Are you growing a beard?
  Over the past few months my beard length hair has fluctuated from the shortest I can trim it with a hair clipper to about a month's growth. So it is like roulette--you never know quite what you'll get. Over the years since college my beard length has ranged from none to several inches and my hair length has ranged from quite short (no crew cuts yet though) to slightly longer than shoulder length. These things have fluctuated fairly often and don't show any particularly strong signs of stabilizing. I guess I tend to be a bit mystified that people pay so much attention to this but I really shouldn't be--after all, they spend more time looking at my face than I do.
