Addendum for using Wristapps with the Timex Datalink 2.1d software
On October 1997, Timex released version 2.1d of their Windows Datalink software.
Here's a couple of things you need to know in order to use wristapps with this new release:
- The installation instructions are much simpler. You only need to copy the .ZAP file into the APP subdirectory of your Datalink software directory, and restart the software. The .ZAP file you just downloaded will be included in the WristApps list.
- There is a bug in the new software: If you change the Hourly Chime/Button Beep settings, you must exit and restart your datalink software in order for the new settings to take effect.
- If you are upgrading from version 2.1b, you will no londer be able to download soundscapes bigger than 64 bytes in length. Only known workaround is to keep the older version installed on your machine.
