It appears that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Gen. Peter Pace, will be calling for a withdrawal of troops from Iraq.

He wants half of the troops out in a year.

Petraeus still wants to increase troops (do I feel a draft?), but he’s not retiring shortly, and he knows that his best chance is to suck up to Bush and His Evil Minions^™.
