And you think the CEOs who "run medicine" now are any better, S? They are the same people.
The only difference is that the govrnment is nominally (and to some degree, in reality) there to benefit the people, while the corporations are explicitly there to benefit the wealthy.
Barely so, but government health care is far less responsive and more punitive to all. Not to mention, they operate on the abiding mantra: "Dying is cheaper" which is why preventive medical care is darn near a myth in medicare. If you can't get a physical, you can't find the disease while it's treatble.
!2 years ago 95& of the health care dollar when to doctors and hospitals. Now 10 % does. health care is the other "wall street" and it's the government and private insurers and big pharm all tie for the "madoff prize."
