The Pentagon’s Selected Acquisition Report (SARs) actually showed some cost drops this year, and the increases appear to be primarily from buying more stuff than previously anticipated, so the unit prices are not going through the roof.

I’m a cynic. I don’t believe it will last, and I would want to see the raw numbers.
