xingcha
in which either (1) tea leaves are rinsed with hot water which is discarded prior to steeping to drink the liquor; or (2) the dry leaves are placed into a brewing vessel just emptied of the pre-heat water, so the residual heat and moisture awaken the leaves before brewing
