MecklerWeb will not immediately intermediate direct online monetary
transactions; neither does any other service offer this capability on
the Internet today. It will, however, become a reality in the fairly
near term when robust encryption and client authentication
technologies become available. A MecklerWeb core technology partner
has committed software enabling such secure transactions when these
tools are ready for production deployment. The addition of a core
business partner capable of high-volume online transaction processing
will complete the capability. MecklerWeb is actively pursuing talks
with candidates for such a partnership.
