Getting to the Livermore Area

For those coming from out of state the Oakland Airport is the closest, followed by the San Franciso and San Jose Airports (see below for detailed driving directions to Livermore).

Car rental is recommended, but the BART system can get you to Livermore from either Oakland or San Francisco (see below for more detailed directions) and then we can arrange for transit to the hotel.

To the Ceremony and Reception

At McGrail Vineyard | 5600 Greenville Road | Livermore, California

From the West/The Hampton Inn

• Take I-580 East to the North Livermore Exit.
• Follow N. Livermore Ave. going south (i.e. right turn off of the freeway) through downtown Livermore and past First St. (~1.3 mi).
• N. Livermore Ave. will change to S. Livermore Ave. at First St. Continue past the Livermore Civic Center and several wineries (incl. Retzlaff and Concannon).
• S. Livermore will make a slight left turn and become Tesla Rd. (~2 mi).
• Continue on Tesla Rd. until you get to Greenville Rd. (~2.5 mi), and turn right.
• Follow Greenville Rd. up the hill past the Poppyridge Golf course until you get to McGrail Vineyard on your left.

From the East

• Coming over the Altamont Pass on I-580 West, watch for the first Livermore exit (Greenville Rd.).
• As you exit the freeway, make a right on Altamont Pass Rd. and then another right onto Greenville Rd.
• Follow Greenville Rd. going south until you get to McGrail Vineyard (~ 5 mi).
  
• (If you miss the Greenville Rd. exit, you can exit on Vasco Rd. exit. After getting off the freeway, turn left onto S. Vasco Rd. and keep going until it dead-ends into Tesla Rd. Make a left on Tesla Rd. and keep going until you get to Greenville Rd. Turn right onto Greenville road and keep going until you get to McGrail Winery.)

To the Night-Before BBQ

From I-580

• From either direction on I-580, take the Airway Blvd. exit and follow Airway Blvd. south.
• Airway Blvd. will make a sweeping left turn as you pass alongside the Livermore airport.
• Just after the airport, turn right onto Kittyhawk Rd.
• Follow Kittyhawk Rd. until you get to a big intersection and turn left onto E. Jack London Blvd.
• Make an immediate right at Shasta St. and left onto Tamalpais Ave.
• The second left will be Toiyable Ct. and the Schneider's home is the tan house at the back of the court.

From the Hotel

• Turn Left on N. Canyon Pkwy. and left again at Airway Blvd.
• Follow the directions above.
