FDNY Biker Braves a Blizzard for 5BBC

New York City Firefighter Joshua Gallo deserves a round of thanks for coming to see us during the February 28 blizzard to talk about last year’s 6-week-long “The FDNY Cross Country Ride Across America.” Run last September and October, the FDNY’s fundraising benefited the Uniformed Firefighter’s Association Widow's & Children's Fund.

For 42 days, 35 from New York's Bravest went cross-country to Los Angeles, raising over $100,000. Josh kept a chronological photo record of the trip, including his much-appreciated anecdotal captions. The 5BBC wants to invite him back during the warmer weather. That’s when we hope to raffle off one of the team bikes, with proceeds to go the Widows & Children's Fund.
