Near the Etch-A-Sketch and the electronics projects, attendees foraged for interesting parts.
The parts were taken to pieces with screwdrivers, soldering irons, and brute force.
The lucky parts were then reconstructed into little works of art such as we see here. I spent my time freeing a small laser from an old CD-ROM drive.
