I have been working in 3d computer graphics for over 10 years now. My program
of choice is Alias Power Animator. I usually start my models in Alias Power
Animator and then finish them up in Alias/Wavefront's Maya. I use Amazon
3d paint to paint any surface texture color.
My basic philosophy is to keep my models as light, clean and efficient as
possible. I try to get as much as I can out of a surface without adding unnecessary
detail. Clients that I work with often express appreciation for my attention
to lightness. An efficient model is much easier to animate and saves many
hours of work. Check out Aza, which is my colaboration
with the Kermit Love, the creator of "Big Bird" and many other
famous characters.
